Talking Glass in Las Vegas: Glasswerks at GlassBuild America 2026

Vice President of Operations, Robert Mastrapa, inspects an innovated new machine that could make Glasswerks production even more efficient than it already is.
Glasswerks packed up and headed to Las Vegas for GlassBuild America 2026, the National Glass Association’s trade show for the glass and glazing industry. Team members from our all four of our operations in Los Angeles, Carson, Temecula, and Yuma spent their days moving from booth to booth, watching new equipment in action, and catching up with the customers, suppliers, and partners we work with all year.
“GlassBuild is where we see what’s coming and talk with the people building it. Those conversations shape the decisions we make for our customers.”
Seeing What’s Next

Owner, Randy Steinberg, and Vice President of Operations, Robert Mastrapa learn more about a new product that can help keep pushing Glasswerks forward.
At the NorthGlass booth, the team got a look at a scale model of a complete production line, a layout similar to the one now being built for Glasswerks. Seeing the model up close made the project easier to picture, from how glass moves through each stage to how the pieces fit together on the floor.

Owner, Randy Steinberg, and the Glasswerks team get a closer look at how a similar new line will look on our production floor.
Time With Our Partners
Between demos, we made time for the people behind the equipment and the supply chain. We caught up with Don Friese and the team at FHC Frameless Hardware Company, and spent time with TSS Glass Machinery Sales, NorthGlass, Glassfab Tempering Services, Salem Fabrication Technologies Group, and HHH Equipment Resources.

Along the way, we stopped by booths and greeted plenty of other industry friends, including Aldora Aluminum and Glass Products, Cardinal Glass Industries, Action Bullet Resistant, RPR Technologies, Giroux Glass, Vitro Architectural Glass, Eastman Saflex and Vanceva, Huahui Glass, IGE Glass Technologies, Integrated Automation Systems, Glaston Corporation, Guardian Glass North America, and Q-railing USA.

Heading Home With Ideas
We left Las Vegas with a clearer picture of where fabrication technology is headed and what our customers will look for next. Thank you to the National Glass Association for hosting, and to everyone who stopped to talk with us. Conversations like these are how good partnerships get built, and we’re looking forward to what follows.

Randy Steinberg speaks with DJ Friese and how we can both continue to help Glasswerks and FHC support each other.
